I have launched a Kickstarter campaign in order to help me illustrate, format and print "Return of the Mirms," the sequel to "The Adventures of the Salamander."  The new book, like its predecessor, will be an epic adventure for kids which addresses important themes, good manners, rocket ships, environmental concerns, giant purple sea monsters, social justice, time travel, lizard invasions, cave exploration and much, much more.

www.kickstarter.com/projects/2…

A $25 contribution will get you the actual printed book with over 500 pages and over 200 full color illustrations, including all the maps, footnotes and appendices that made the first story so unique.  "The Adventures of the Salamander," and "Return of the Mirms" both have a unique approach, which allows younger kids to enjoy the stories by using the easy to read captions.  These captions tell the whole story in a simplified way for younger readers, while older kids and adults can enjoy the main text with all the details and dialogue that make it so entertaining.

Consider backing this project, and sharing it with your friends and family.

Thanks!

Michael Klaus Schmidt

Hey everyone! :aww: Okay, I don't really have anything that important to announce...just a concern. I admit that it's my fault that I haven't kept up with the post and messages here, but I did notice that a couple of people have left this club, and it surprised as well as concerned me. What happened? Did I or someone else do something wrong? Have we mistakenly ignored or not given enough information? If we can find the root of the "problem" we might be having, perhaps we can fix it to prevent more people from feeling frustrated and leave. Any thoughts?

Been wondering the same, but my thought is that we are not generating enough publicity and not organising things like competitions, asking for tutorials... anything that could enhance participation.

I just have no idea where to start

I think we all have a similar problem. Not being able to find time to keep this club active. :/ I got so busy that I kept forgetting about GOI. ^^;

Me bad too.

I had suggested that it would be better for someone else who is a supportive reader who can keep this club active.

But my experience is showing that the large clubs are not really useful since they get updated too fast and Too often for people to keep track of. :/

That I agree on too. It's what's keeping me from joining clubs. Bigger clubs have a tendacy to flood the inboxes with deviations, and to shut that down kinda defeats the purpose of being in a club... as a whole.
