I have launched a Kickstarter campaign in order to help me illustrate, format and print "Return of the Mirms," the sequel to "The Adventures of the Salamander."  The new book, like its predecessor, will be an epic adventure for kids which addresses important themes, good manners, rocket ships, environmental concerns, giant purple sea monsters, social justice, time travel, lizard invasions, cave exploration and much, much more.

www.kickstarter.com/projects/2…

A $25 contribution will get you the actual printed book with over 500 pages and over 200 full color illustrations, including all the maps, footnotes and appendices that made the first story so unique.  "The Adventures of the Salamander," and "Return of the Mirms" both have a unique approach, which allows younger kids to enjoy the stories by using the easy to read captions.  These captions tell the whole story in a simplified way for younger readers, while older kids and adults can enjoy the main text with all the details and dialogue that make it so entertaining.

Consider backing this project, and sharing it with your friends and family.

Thanks!

Michael Klaus Schmidt

Weird...it won't let me submit anything to my folder...how sad... ^^; Is there anyway to fix that?

Sorry for the late reply, I missed this comment. You can't submit anything, because you're a member, not a contributor. Contributors get their own folder and can add things to featured (after which we will move them). I don't think you have a folder yet either (unless you changed your DA-name?)

I write novels and wish to get them out there where the people are. They are usually sci-fy with some religion in them. However the one I would like to start with is only 297 pages long and about a psycho who goes postal in a mental hospital under attack.

I think I have shown the contrast between mental illness and psychotic killers and have a lot of fun to share along the way.

I also have other novels I might want to share, but need to check with those publishers first.

Cool, I'm very interested in checking them out. Are they in your gallery?

One is and two of the others are on Amazon but I can put them where I want. The other one is so that the publisher has the all the rights and wants to only place it where they want to have it themselves. I can only publish parts of it, you know to advertise it.

Thanks for the interest. You can see the three I have not put on dA by going to Amazon and doing a search for either UC Poika or The Way You Take It for the other.

I also have a website where you can see all four covers and my prices for each should you order from me. Really it's just a hobby for now but who knows? [link]

Wow, you have them on Amazon? That's so awesome. :aww: I think it's cool you already have publishers and such interested. I'm still struggling to find a literary agent...but it's hard, especially in today's economy and e-books and such. More and more publishers and agents are saying no. Best of luck, and you are more than welcome to check out my writings in my gallery. :thanks:
